We here at Mundane Bingo actively encourage non-US, non-Christian-centric mundane event prompts. If you've already left your prompts in the text boxes, and this gives you the lightbulb moment for more, go ahead and put them in the comments of the previous post.

Additionally, when we (by which I mean me) actually get around to cards, there will be an option to request cards with less of a US and/or Christian-centric influence, because while mundane is a universal state, the details vary, and I'd like to see as many of those represented as we can get.

Isn't it? I know some VERY SMART PEOPLE! I mean, I got a lot of Christmas squares on my Schmoop Bingo card, which is fine and totally do-able in my fandoms, but as someone not raised as a Christian (it's tl;dr), caused me to make the sympathetic to non-Christian friends face of, "IT'S EVERYWHERE! RUN! RUN!" but somehow, I failed to spot where I could improve things by *explicitly* asking for prompts that reflect the variety of mundane outside of my mundane.

For some reason, that brought back memories of a friend's post-sundown Snickers and Dorito runs during Ramadan. "The sun has set! To the WaWa!"

That's awesome! One of the things I miss about my old building/team was the emails of "It's Eid! Swing by [office number] for celebratory sweets!" that would come out each year.

Also, I would very much raise an eyebrow if I got a Christmas prompt on schmoop bingo. The pairing of a religious holiday/occasion with schmoop conveys a whole shitload of assumptions.

Which come from a lot of exposure to culture(s) in which it's normalized as a schmoopy, sappy, "home for the holidays with chestnuts roasting on the open fire while Santa baby and I open our stockings and Frosty the Snowman sings!" event.
